Palmital

Coordinates: 22°47′20″S 50°13′03″W / 22.78889°S 50.21750°W Palmital is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The population in 2009 is 22,323 and the area is 549.04 km². With an altitude of 508m, it has an economy based on agriculture and cattle raising. The current mayor is Reinaldo Custódio da Silva. The town is known for having the biggest carnaval festivities of the area.
