Palmdale is a census-designated place[1] located in Derry Township, Dauphin County in the state of Pennsylvania. Its location is about 3 miles east of the community of Hershey along US Route 422. As of the 2010 census[2] the population was 1,308. Palmdale is in the Harrisburg-Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area, the latitude is 40.298, and the longitude -76.619.
