Pali is a town and a nagar panchayat in Lalitpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Geography
Pali is located at 24°29′N 78°25′E / 24.48°N 78.42°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 457 metres (1499 feet). It is having a beautiful Jain temple in the heart of the city .People are also warm hearted
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Pali had a population of 8710. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Pali has an average literacy rate of 52%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 66%, and female literacy is 36%. In Pali, 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.It is also famous because of Devgarh temples. Thus the it is full of ancient treasure
Pali is famous for its deshi pan & "Neel Kantheshwar mahadev mandir" 3 km away from city on the peak of Vindhyanchal Mountain. old fort of raja saab, bada mandir, pan ki mandi, "", Nadwani Bagicha Mandir, Muskan general store, Inter collage, Saraswati vidya mandir, shishu mandir, gyan mandir, main market, jain mandir, and bus stand. Pali is a most beautiful town. The surroundings are lakes, hills, forest and historical places.
You can see a mini india in this place because all religion is there and living with love and calm.
New generation of this town is very ambitious and hardworking they are in new century with their dreams. No job opportunity is reason of poverty and illiteracy.
It is a great place for tour if any one want to be introduce hills,lake's, old history and folk culture. Folk songs of this place is very famous like ALHA (its a song about braveness of king alha-udal) and BEER HARDOL (It's about a brother's love.)
