Pakdasht (Persian: پاكدشت, also Romanized as Pākdasht; also known as Palasht, Palesht, Palishth, Polasht, and Pol Dasht)[1] is a city in and the capital of Pakdasht County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 126,281, in 32,625 families.[2] Pakdasht is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of the capital Tehran. The majority of the population speaks Persian and is Shia.
