Page footer

In typography, a page footer (or simply footer) is text that is separated from the main body of text and appears at the bottom of a printed page.[1] It is different from a footnote in that it is typically uniform between pages.

In publishing and certain types of academic writing, the footer is often where the page number is contained.[1] In academic writing, it is often centered.[2] In a book, the footer usually appears on the outside corner of each page.
