The Matabele ant, Pachycondyla analis, is a species of ant from Africa. Matabele ants are named after the Matabele tribe of fierce warriors who overwhelmed many other tribes during the 1800s. At 20 millimetres (0.79 in) long, P. analis is one of the world's largest ants. It feeds exclusively on termites.[1]
