Pachpakhadi
Pachpakhadi also referred as Panchpakhadi is an area in city of Thane and stands for five fields . The area originally consisted of five massive fields owned by various landlords. This area is very peaceful and just 20-25 min walking distance from Thane station.It lies adjoining to Naupada area and the Teen Hath Naka.The Thane municipality (TMC) office is next to the beautiful Kachrali Talav(Talav in Marathi language means Lake). The area also has Food Kattas, Saraswati English Medium high school and Parmarth Nikettan. Ganesh Chathurthi and Krishna Janmashtami celebrations are carried out in this area. The Dynanraj Sabhagruha hall & the Dnyaneshwar maharaj temple lies in its vicinity & so is the municipal office .
Kachrali Talao

"Kachrali Talao" is a picturesque lake with a small 'one tree island' on it. This lake has a circumference of 500m. It attracts many people for its jogging tracks,Kattas,children play area, exercise area. There is a beautiful temple of Lord Ganesh inside the lake premises. Once a slum area, major cleansing & beautification has transformed it to a jogger's paradise. The government has brought Ducks on the lake, these ducks can be seen in the lake specially on the one tree island.
