PXG

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PXG is a television show on Jetix in the United Kingdom which reviews the latest computer and video games, and tells viewers cheats for certain games. It is presented, directed and stars Kentaro (also known as Kentaro Suyama). This is in a way similar to the Sky1 show Gamezville. The show started in January, 2005. Every mini show has two parts: one introduces the latest items and the second is a review.

The original schedule is as follows:

Monday: Big in Japan: This discusses what is going on in Japan, for instance when the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable were released in Japan, and other Japanese games that are popular.

Tuesday: Mobile Madness: This was all about handhelds. The first part is for accessories and game rating previews, the second contains reviews.

Wednesday: Konsole Kids: This had to do mainly with consoles. The first part is the caravan where people show their replays in games and their performance is rated. The second half is the same as Tuesday's broadcast.

Thursday: Easy PC: The first part is a review and the second offers free online gaming.

Friday: All the five-minute day shows combined into one show lasting half an hour. It also shows Top of the Chops, a section in which top-five games are rated, and on this day there are answers to the questions that are given throughout the week. In addition, jokes are read, and particularly special games or ones that are pushed back, such as Zelda: Twilight Princess, are shown. Finally, videos of people dressing up as game characters is also shown.

In 2007, the show started airing again, but with a few changes:

Monday became Konsole Kids, Wednesday became Big in Japan, Thursday became Top of the Chops and Friday became Easy PC. Top of the chops was also different, only showing one game in the section (nothing shows after).
