Owl Eyes is an Australian singer. Owl Eyes is the stage name of singer Brooke Addamo, an Australian recording artist signed to the Wunderkind/Warner label.
Early life and education
Addamo is from Werribee, Victoria, Australia.
Career
In 2008 Addamo was a finalist on the sixth season of Australian Idol.
She released the EP "Faces" in 2010. She also featured on Illy's hit single "It Can Wait", which was voted #29 on the Triple J Hottest 100 for 2010.[1]
In 2011 she released the EP "Raiders". She featured twice on the 2011 Triple J Hottest 100: the song "Raiders" was voted #64 and her cover of Foster The People's Pumped Up Kicks polled at #28, which is her highest result to date.[2]
In 2012 she released the EP "Crystalised" and single "Love Run Dry" along with a music film clip.
In 2013 Owl Eyes released an album named entitled Nightswim.
Activism
Addamo is one of numerous public advocates for the "Oscar's Law" campaign.[3] The campaign is a protest against the factory farming of companion animals.
