Owais Tohid

Owais Tohid is a journalist from Pakistan. Born in Larkana, Sindh, he is the son of the famous teacher of the town, Tohid Ahmed Siddiqui (d. 1967). He is also the younger brother of the most famous Professor in the history of Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi, Dr. Shoaib Tauheed (1960–2007).

Owais Tohid has worked for BBC Urdu Service, Christian Science Monitor,[1] ARY One World and Geo English. He was Director News at Geo English, an English channel that was to be launched by Geo News, but never came out of the testing phase, being dropped for feasibility issues. Tohid, after Geo English, started working at ARY One World once again. He resigned from ARY One world after relaunching the channel. He is heading Duniya News as Executive Director News and is based in Lahore, Pakistan.
