Haryana is the 20th biggest, 16th most populous, 21st highest and 15th most literate of the 28 states of the democratic Republic of India. Haryana is ranked 10th in the country in tax revenue and GDP and has the 2nd highest GDP per capita amongst states of India. Haryana has the 4th highest life expectancy and lowest female-to-male sex ratio. Haryana is also the 16th most media exposed state.
