Otomo Station

Otomo Station (小友駅 Otomo-eki) is a train station located on the JR Ōfunato Line in Rikuzen-Takata, Iwate, Japan. The station was destroyed by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami and has now been replaced by a provisional Bus Rapid Transit line.

History
- December 15, 1933: Station begins operation.
- May 23, 1960: A tsunami caused by the Great Chilean Earthquake submerges both this station and neighbouring Wakinosawa Station, making the line temporarily impassable until the water is removed.
- March 2011 Station destroyed by Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami
