Ostrów Island

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Note that the word Ostrów or Ostrov is a generic Slavic name for an island

Ostrów Island is an island on the Baltic Sea, located in the delta of Vistula river. The island composes a portion of the territory of the city of Gdańsk, Poland. More specifically, it is part of the quarter known as Mlyniska.

The northern border of the island is formed by the waters of Port Channel (Gdańsk), while the southern border is a branch of the Vistula river, called Leniwka.

The Ostrow Island belongs to Gdanska Stocznia Remontowa, a prosperous industrial enterprise and Stocznia Gdanska, a group of Stocznia Gdynia.
