Orotelli (Sardinian: Oroteddi) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 120 km north of Cagliari and about 20 km west of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,282 and an area of 61.2 km².[1] The town is known for its traditional carnival costumes, including distinctive masks worn by the Thurpos.

Orotelli borders the following municipalities: Bono, Bottidda, Illorai, Oniferi, Orani.
