Orimattila is a town and municipality of Finland.

It is located in the Päijänne Tavastia region. The municipality has a population of 16,352 (31 January 2014)[2] and covers an area of 814.21 square kilometres (314.37 sq mi) of which 28.87 km2 (11.15 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 20.82 inhabitants per square kilometre (53.9 /sq mi).

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

The municipality of Artjärvi was consolidated with Orimattila on 1 January 2011.[6]
