Orbit Air Cargo is a cargo airline based in Ankara, Turkey. It operates scheduled and charter services within the Middle East and to the Far East, United States and European destinations. Its main bases are Esenboga International Airport, Ankara, Antalya Airport and Brussels Airport.[1]

History

The airline was established in 1993 and started operations on 30 November 1994. Transatlantic services began in 1994 with a flight from Ankara to Washington, followed by scheduled services to the USA on 8 November 1994. In mid-2002 passenger operations were added.[1] In 2005 OAC won an award from Airbus for 100% reliability on the 30 year old Airbus A300 and A310. On February 6, 2006 OAC ceased all passenger flights (reported in Turkish press). Only cargo flights are being continued.
