The Orange-winged Pytilia (Pytilia afra) is a common species of estrildid finch found in Africa. It has an estimated global extent of occurrence of 2,300,000 km².
It is commonly found in Angola, Botswana, Burundi, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia & Zimbabwe. The status of the species is evaluated as Least Concern.
