Oplurus is a genus of Malagasy iguanian lizard, most of which are rock-dwelling terrestrial species. Only Oplurus cyclurus is arboreal.
The sister genus to Oplurus is Chalarodon, which contains one species: Chalarodon madagascariensis, also a terrestrial iguanian.
