Operation Safe Teach was a security operation during the 2003 Iraq War in the town of Jisr Diyala. The operation was performed by Task Force Marne soldiers as well as Iraqi Security Forces 7 July 2007. The goal of the operation was to provide security for Iraqi school children.

Operation details

Soldiers from Company D, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, who were at the time attached to 3rd Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment, coordinated with the Iraqis to provide security for local students during national high school testing. The test is conducted annually to certify students’ technical proficiency and their suitability for advancement to the university level. Thirty-six students attended the testing their participation is evidence of the relationship growing between Coalition Forces and the local populace.
