Operation Nimbus Moon was the 1974 clearance of naval mines and unexploded ordnance from portions of the Suez Canal. It was conducted by the United States Army, Egyptian Army, and United States Navy following the Yom Kippur War between Egypt and Israel in 1973.(Bryson, Tars, Turks, and Tankers, 1980, 186)

The work was completed on 20 December 1974.
