Omar S. M."Hanoune" (Arabic: عمر حنون, Egyptian Arabic pronunciation: [ˈʕomɑɾˤ ḥɑnon]; born c. September 12, 1979-82, Alexandria)[1] is an Egyptian human rights activist,[2] international law specialist[3] and politician.[4]

Though he played a minor[5] role in sparking the Egyptian Revolution of 2011[6] that began on January 25, 2011, he was the main founder of Monazmet El-Horya "l'Organisation de la Liberté"[7] (Arabic: مـُـنــَـظــّـمـة الـحـرّيـة[8]), the E-Organization played a crucial role organising Tahrir[9] during the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.
