Yoga Syahputra (better known as Olga Syahputra) 8 February 1983) is an Indonesia actor, comedian, Singer and host. Olga often plays transvestites but he denies being a homosexual.[1] Olga reportedly has a special relationship with their peers in the "Dahsyat" program, Jessica Iskandar. However, until early 2012, there is still no certainty about their relationship.

Career

He was born in Jakarta, Indonesia the eldest of seven brothers. He's been known for his sissy act and one of the most successful Indonesia entertainer as at now. Olga Syahputra was seen in numerous Indonesia TV programs especially during Ramadhan festive every year. As a youth, he was just a fan who often asked for autographs and photographs of his idols. He was fortunate to be offered a role in the movie Lenong Bocah. His role required him to take advanced training in Padang-Java at the Sanggar Ananda owned by Aditya Gumay. As he had no money, Olga was forced to sell a refrigerator to pay for classes. A friend, Bertrand Antolin, later purchased a new refrigerator for him.[2]

While active at Sanggar Ananda, Olga worked frequently, though the parts were small. Olga was also an assistant to the singer Rita Sugiarto. Perseverance finally paid off when he began to get roles in the soap operas, including Kawin Gantung and Si Yoyo. He then became a presenter for Ngidam on SCTV paired with Jeremy Thomas. Olga also played in the comedy Jangan Cium Gue followed by Extravaganza ABG in 2005. By this time, Olga's name was becoming well known in Indonesia. His breakout year was 2007 when he appeared with Indra Bekti and Indy Barends at the Ceriwis awards show on Trans TV.[3]

In 2008, Olga became a TV presenter of music events on the Dahsyat morning shown on RCTI. His co-presenter since March 2011 has been Jessica Iskandar. There has been speculation that Olga will marry Jessica.[4]

Olga won the award for Favorite presenter Music/Variety Show and Favorite Comedian in Panasonic Awards 2009 and Panasonic Awards 2010 published in RCTI, MNCTV, and Global TV

In addition to being a presenter, he also starred in such movies as Skandal Cinta Babi Ngepet and Mau Lagi (released as Cintaku Selamanya').

Olga has also begun to explore the world of drag votes. To date, Olga has released two of his songs, "Hancur Hatiku" and "Jangan Ganggu Aku Lagi" which were both released as singles on the Nagaswara label.

Olga is no longer a presenter for the Ceriwis program on Trans TV.

Controversy

Olga is known for causing hundreds of controversy, but 90% of all the controversy that is usually caused by a very rude style of humor on television. There have been many parties are trying to have the joke Olga slightly softened, but still only controversy came to him.

Chirps

In one of the shows Strikes, Luna Maya expressed grief over news of the earthquake that occurred in Chile. Olga responded that his speech by exclaiming, "Ha? Chili? Sambel Kali". Also, Olga never insult Kaskus like this: "Kaskus? WC Kali!"[citation needed]

However, the spontaneous utterance was not sparked criticism or debate long and not have a big impact on his career as a presenter.[citation needed]

Calling the genitals

Personal life

Olga was born as the son of Nur Rachman and Nurhida. He is the eldest of seven siblings, the notable two of whom are his brother named Billy, who also works as a comedian like Olga, and his sister Reny Nurman.
