Ōizumi (大泉町 Ōizumi-machi) is a town located in Ōra District, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
As of September 1, 2007, the town had an estimated population of 41,098 and a density of 2292.14 persons per km². The total area is 17.93 km².
In 1957, the towns of Ookawa-mura and Koizumi-machi merged, thus "Ooizumi-machi" was born.
Ooizumi's name comes from the 'Oo' from Ookawa and 'izumi' from Koizumi.
The Tokyo plant of Sanyo, which was previously the plant of the Nakajima Aircraft Company, is located in this town.
10% of the total population are foreign citizens, mostly Japanese Brazilians, who work at many factories in the town. Since 1990, Japanese descendants in foreign countries have been permitted to stay in Japan freely. It is estimated that 15% of the population speak Portuguese as their native language.[1]

Transportation
This town has three stations Nishi-Koizumi Station, Koizumimachi Station, Higashi-Koizumi Station of Tobu Railway Koizumi Line, connecting to Isesaki Line at Tatebayashi Station and Ōta Station.
