Obri is a village and a panchayat in Dungarpur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Intro

Obri is a beautiful village situated in Vaagar area of Rajasthan, surrounded by water on each side. It has surrounding four famous bandh in dungarpur district that is borkhed bandh, lodeshvar bandh, margiya bandh and favta bandh. A very scenic village and has a major market and Panchayat for about 10 surrounding villages. It is a major revenue generating village in Sagwara Tehsil in Dungarpur District, Rajasthan.

Development

Obri is in the prime location and has been progressing day by day. It has seen ample development in the last decade, in all aspects, be it financial, educational, social, or construction. progress has been continuously going on without any restsiction but obri is not connected with any main road so problem occurred about the bus services.

Obri has around 8-10 schools including a main Government Senior Secondary school, Government middle school, 4-5 private schools, etc. Around 76% of Obri's population is educated in which half of them have graduate level education. A few people have higher level education including Doctor, CA, Engineer, Lawyer, Computer Engg,Policemen etc. Obri Senior school has a record 100% result for five consecutive years in commerce stream. Obri has 13 CA which is highest in Dungarpur.

Economics

Obri has good financial status among all Dungarpur villages with most of its revenues are from shops around the village. An ample amount of people are in Kuwait earning handsome amount of money. Youngsters are either having their own business in Obri itself or working in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, or nearby cities. many of the person are also generate money by farming.

The village has around 12 major Hindu castes and also has a good number of Muslim families and celebrating their festivals joyously.all the festival celebrate all religion together

Obri celebrates a variety of festivals, among which most famous Hindus festival are Holi, Diwali, Ravadi, Navratri, Dasehra, etc. Futra is one of the major attaction in Obri. It is on the fifth day of Holi Festival and very famous among 10 surrounding villages of Obri. More than 10 thousand people gathered together for watching futra festival. And Muslims festival are also celebrate all people together.
