Obedullaganj is a town and a nagar panchayat in Raisen district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Obedullaganj had a population of 19,955. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Obedullaganj has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 59%. In Obedullaganj, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age..

Administration

Obedullaganj is an administrative block with 72 gram panchayats and 231 villages under it.[2] Barkheda is one of the major villages in the Obedullaganj block. A large Galla Mandi is located in Obaidullaganj. Tamot, biggest village of Raisen district is also located near Obaidullaganj.

Obaidullaganj has 3 mosque including Masjid-e-munawwari & several temples and a Gurudwara. A famous Jain temple is situated on Railway Station Road of Obaidullaganj.
