Oščadnica is a village and municipality in Čadca District in the Žilina Region of northern Slovakia. The village is now a well known touristic resort, offering private apparments and agrobusiness. During the winter a ski resort Oščadnica-Veľká Rača is a popular destination.
History
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1712.
Geography
The municipality lies at an altitude of 474 metres and covers an area of 58.634km². It has a population of about 5,700 people.
