Nowra High School

Nowra High School is a co-educational public high school, providing education for students in grades 7-12. It has been located on Moss St in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia since 1956.[1] There are around 1,100 students and about 70 staff. The school motto is "Wisdom Through Knowledge".

State visits

The Governor-General hosted a meeting, in the school, with indigenous students from the City's high schools, on May 17, 2007.[2]

  • Brian McGowan, a former member of the Legislative Assembly taught here in the 1960s.[3]

Notable students

  • Queensland Premier Anna Bligh spent the last six months of her schooling at Nowra High School.[4]
