Northview, Missouri
Northview is an unincorporated community in Webster County, Missouri, United States. It is located about five miles southwest of Marshfield on Missouri Supplemental Route B. Its post office has closed and mail is now at Marshfield.
However, Northview has distinction as one of Missouri's few communities to be "unincorporated," an action that occurred in 1909. In the city's census of 1900, the town's population was officially counted at 213. Several old buildings still stand in Northview's former business district, located near the railroad tracks.
Northview is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The oilman, rancher, and philanthropist Joseph Sterling Bridwell of Wichita Falls, Texas, was born in Northview in 1885.[1]
