Norsteroid

Norsteroids are a derivative of a steroid that have elements removed from a side chain or ring.[1]
Examples include:
- Norpregnene (based upon a pregnene)
- Desogestrel
- Ethylestrenol
- Ethynodiol diacetate
- Ethinyl estradiol
- Gestrinone
- Levonorgestrel
- Norethindrone
- Norgestrel
- Norpregnatriene (based upon a pregnatriene)
- 19-Norprogesterone (based upon a progesterone)
- 19-Nortestosterone (based upon a testosterone)
