The Norðvesturkjördæmi (i.e. Northwest) is one of the six constituencies (kjördæmi) of Iceland. Its major town is Akranes.

Geography

It borders with the constituencies of Northeast, South, Southwest and the coastline nearby Akranes is located close to the one of the North of Reykjavík. Its territory includes the glaciers of Drangajökull, Eiríksjökull, Snæfellsjökull, Þórisjökull and, at its south-eastern borders, the northern part of the Hofsjökull and Langjökull.
