Nomgon (Mongolian: Номгон) is a sum (district) of Ömnögovi Province in southern Mongolia.

It consists of 5 smaller administrative units. The distance from the center to the border of China is approximately 170 KM. The population is about 2,800. There are a school, a hospital, and a post-office. And also a small hotel and a small shop. The temple (Sangiin Dalai) was built firstly about 300 years ago, and some parts are repaired and refreshed in rather recent years. There are no tourist campus around here. The people here know that the mirages in the desert areas are very impressive. But there are no road in the usual sense in the desert area. Without the guide who knows this area well, your travel will be dangerous and fatal. (Aug. 2013)
