Nizhneudinsky District (Russian: Нижнеудинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-three in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia. The area of the district is 50,000 square kilometers (19,000 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Nizhneudinsk.[2] Population: 25,694 (2010 Census);[5] 31,122 (2002 Census);[8] 37,293 (1989 Census).[9]
Administrative and municipal status
Within the framework of administrative divisions, Nizhneudinsky District is one of the thirty-three in the oblast.[1] The town of Nizhneudinsk serves as its administrative center.[2] As a municipal division, the district is incorporated as Nizhneudinsky Municipal District.[4]
