Niwaella is a small genus of loaches native to Asia.

There are currently four recognized species in this genus:[1]
- Niwaella delicata (Niwa, 1937)
- Niwaella laterimaculata (J. P. Yan & M. L. Zheng, 1984) (species inquirenda in Niwaella)
- Niwaella longibarba Y. F. Chen & Y. X. Chen, 2005 (species inquirenda in Niwaella)
- Niwaella xinjiangensis Y. F. Chen & Y. X. Chen, 2005 (species inquirenda in Niwaella)
