Nishigandha Wad

Dr. Nishigandha Wad (Marathi: निशिगंधा वाड; born 11 October 1969) is an acclaimed Marathi film actress who has acted in Hindi films and in Hindi and Marathi serials. She started acting in commercial cinema around 198990 and has acted in more than 100 films.

Creative writings

She is author of five books: three have been the recipients of prestigious state awards. Her doctorate from the University of Mumbai on research on Changing Role of Women In Society Reflections from Marathi & British Theatres (1970–1990) proves her academic excellence.[1]

Filmography

Some of her Marathi films are Shejari Shejari (1990), Eka Peksha Ek, Bandhan (1991), Pratikar (1991), Bala Jo Jo Re (1993), Saasar Maaher (1994), and Ashi hi Dyaneshwari (2001). Some of the Hindi films in which she acted were Salim Langade Pe Mat Ro (1990), Karm Yodha (1992), Janmadata (1994), Daadagiri (1997), Deewangee (2002), Tumko Naa Bhool Payenge (2002), and Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002).[2][3]
