Ninohe Station (二戸駅 Ninohe-eki) is a railway station in Ninohe, Iwate, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and Iwate Ginga Railway Company.

Lines

Ninohe Station is served by the Tōhoku Shinkansen high-speed line from Tokyo to Shin-Aomori, and also by local services on the Iwate Ginga Railway Line.

History

  • December 20, 1891: Station is opened as Fukuoka Station.
  • June 1, 1921: Station name is changed to Kita-Fukuoka Station.
  • February 1, 1987: Station name is changed to Ninohe Station.
  • December 1, 2002: Service on the Tōhoku Shinkansen is started.
