Nilesh Narayan Rane is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency of Maharashtra and is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) political party.[1] He is also a member of the Committee on Home Affairs and the Rules Committee of the government. He was one the youngest Members of Parliament(MP) in India when he was selected in 2009.

Early life

Nilesh Rane was born in Mumbai to Narayan Rane, a leading politician from Maharashtra who represented Shiv Sena till 2005, and then shifted to the Indian National Congress party. His brother Nitesh is also involved in politics. Nilesh holds a doctorate, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Mumbai.[2]

Career

Nilesh Rane was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha at the age of 28.
