Dr. Nikolaus Büsen (6 March 1911 14 June 1942) was a German Luftwaffe reconnaissance pilot and recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross during World War II. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Nikolaus Büsen was killed on 14 June 1942 over North African coast. He was posthumously awarded the Knight's Cross on 4 September 1942.
