Nikola Skobaljić (Serbian: Никола Скобаљић ; 1430-16.11.1454) was a mid 15th-century Serbian voivode (Vojvoda) who ruled a region around Leskovac, Southern Serbia, during the rule of Đurađ Branković (r. 1427 — 1456). He came from Dubočica, and was seated at Zelen Grad (Skobaljić Grad).
After Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II had conquered Constantinople, he turned to conquer the Serbian Despotate,[1] a division of the Serbian Army was at Dubočica, led by Nikola, the other was around Sitnica. He fought at the Battle of Tripolje Battle of Kruševac, and Battle of Leskovac against Ottoman Empire. The latter two battles resulted in a decisive Serbian victory.[2] He was defeated on November 16, 1454, taken prisoner and impaled alive with his uncle[3] by the Ottoman Turks.[4]
