Nikola Drinčić (Cyrillic: Hикoлa Дpинчић, born 7 September 1984) is a Serbian-born Montenegrin footballer who plays for FK Partizan. He is most notable for his free kick and corner kick abilities.
Club career
Early career
Drinčić joined farm team FK Teleoptik after spending some time in FK Partizan's youth system. He signed a professional contract with Partizan at the age of 19, although ended up playing only four league games with Partizan before being transferred to Gaziantepspor, where he was given more chances in the starting XI.
Amkar Perm
After a brief spell with Gaziantepspor, Drinčić was sold to Amkar, where he played 84 league games and scored four goals during his three-year career with the club from Perm.
Spartak Moscow
On 11 January 2010, Drinčić joined FC Spartak Moscow from FC Amkar Perm on a free transfer.[1] However, just two weeks after joining the club, he broke his shin-bone in a friendly and had to take a half-year break from football.[2] He never was able to break into the starting eleven for the club and only amassed four appearances for Spartak before being transferred to Krasnodar for a sum of €500,000.[3]
Krasnodar
Drinčić signed for FC Krasnodar in February 2011.[4] He played 57 league games and scored three goals for Krasnodar. He was released from his contract on 2 September 2013.[5]
Return to Partizan
On 20 December 2013, Drinčić joined Partizan from FC Krasnodar on a free transfer.[6]
International career
Drinčić played for Serbia's youth selections up to 21 years and featured in the same Serbian selection that made the final of the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. However, he eventually chose to play for Montenegro as he believed he would get more playing time.[7] He received a call-up from Montenegro and made his debut against Sweden in September 2007.
