Niegłowice [ɲɛɡwɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jasło, within Jasło County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) south of Jasło and 51 km (32 mi) south-west of the regional capital Rzeszów.
World War II
During German occupation of Poland in World War II, Niegłowice was the location of one of five oil refineries operated by the Nazis.[2] The other four were Jedlicze near Krosno, Glinik Mariampolski near Gorlice, Trzebinia, and Czechowice–Dziedzice. The refinery was manned by prisoners of the Szebnie concentration camp nearby.[3]
