Nicolau Borges (born 20 January 1979)[1] is an Indian football player who plays as a midfielder.

Career

Nicolau joined a GFA recognized U-15 summer coaching camp in his childhood. He also used to participate in inter village tournaments in Goa. After playing for few amateur clubs, he joined Sporting Clube de Goa where he played for 3 seasons, before joining Dempo S.C. in 2007.

He was also part of the Goa football team that won the Santosh Trophy in 2005 beating Maharashtra football team in the final.

During his 6-year stint in Dempo, the Goan team won the I-League thrice and Super Cup twice.

Mohun Bagan

On, 8 August 2013 he signed for Mohun Bagan.[2] He played 3 matches for Mohun Bagan. He was released from club on 3 December 2013.

Personal life

His favourite players are Sunil Chhetri, Thierry Henry and David Beckham, while he is a big supporter of Manchester United F.C. and Brazil national football team.
