Nicolae Martinescu (24 February 1940 – 1 April 2013)[1] was a Romanian wrestler and Olympic Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling.
At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich Martinescu received a gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in the heavyweight class.[2] He was later awarded the title of Merited Master of Sport of the USSR.[3]
