Nico Rezende

Antonio Martins Correia Filho (São Paulo, SP), known as Nico Rezende, is a Brazilian singer and composer.

Biography

Singer, composer and also musical arranger, Nico Rezende has studied piano, classic guitar and techniques of synthesizers. He started his career playing in orchestras at balls. In 1983, Nico moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he turned to work as keyboard player in the musical band of the signer Ritchie.[1] Later he made arrangements to disks of Marina Lima, Gal Costa, Roberto Carlos, Lulu Santos, Beto Guedes, Simone, Zizi Possi, Cazuza, Barão Vermelho, Erasmo Carlos, Kiko Zambianchi and Dalto, beyond other composers.[2]

In 1987, he recorded his first LP record, Nico Rezende, with proeminence to the song written by himself[citation needed] "Esquece e vem" (with Paulinho Lima), theme of the soap opera O outro (of Rede Globo).
