Nick Petrovic is a well known psychologist and researcher, with a background in psychological profiling, personality profiling, child psychology, management consulting and personality disorders. He has worked for both government and non-government organisations including one of the largest Aboriginal organisations in Australia offering innovative treatments and assessments.

Previous projects and roles include: working with children and young people to develop better tools in assessment and treatment of mental health issues, creating assessment tools for businesses in order to capture the needs of staff and their clients, and creating programs and auto scorers to help minimise errors and time lost scoring assessments (Psychometrics).

Contributions to the Psychology field that should also be noted are clinic developed tools such as specific revolutionary token economy systems which praises children for calming down after a tantrum as opposed to a punishment orientated approach. He has also implemented culturally specific assessment tools for Aboriginal and non-English speaking communities across Australia.

Nick Petrovic's work has discussed with her Excellency the Governor of NSW discussing his revolutionary token economy system (points system). The premise of this system is that unlike some reward systems, the point system is there to keep the child motivated to succeed even after a tantrum. It is important to acknowledge a child's restraint after a tantrum especially with children who have trouble with impulse control. The point's system takes this into account and gives children partial rewards to promote quicker recovery times after tantrums.

Nick's work with Aboriginal communities has been recognised by having the clinic win the NSW Aboriginal Health Awards 2012 (Category: Closing the Gap in Aboriginal Youth and Wellbeing Award). His work has further been recognised; being hand picked by the Minister of Health to assist in developing new OOHC clinical guidelines for the assessment of Children and Young People in OOHC.

Nick Petrovic is currently overseeing a new clinic specialising in psychological services for children and adults. The clinic was set up in order to bridge the gap in terms of Mental Health services in the community and minimise waiting times in order to receive mental health treatments. The clinic is Medicare (Australia) approved and operates extended hours to meet the needs of the community. The clinic has as a specialised team, housing only fully qualified professionals with strong backgrounds in their area of expertise. It is in many ways a one stop shop for mental health with the highest level of professionalism and understanding.

Previously Nick Petrovic has been part of a lot of research in personality disorders and was well known for his research and books on Antisocial Personality Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder, much of his work is currently being utilised and referenced by other allied health professionals especially in the United States. He is currently working on two research projects; the effects of Mindfulness presented remotely via the internet and the quality of social interaction via social media.

Nick Petrovic has offered his expertise across a wide range of mediums including, television, radio, and written media projects. He has also advocated for people and community groups regarding mental health services. With a strong background in personality profiling, Nick Petrovic also offers consulting services for businesses and individuals who are interested in developing their business, better understanding their clients or fine tuning their recuriting tasks.
