Nick Falafivka

Nick Falafivka (Ukr. Микола Фалафівка, born on November 24, 1964) is a Ukrainian artist.

Nick Falafivka was born in Chernivtsi Oblast of Ukraine, the part of Ukraine called Bukovina. He started to study art in Vyzhnytsia School of Applied Art (1980–1985). After graduation Falafivka moved to Lviv, the cultural and artistic centre of Ukraine, where he entered Ivan Fedorov Ukrainian Polygraphic Institute (graduated in 1992). As a student Falafivka went to Bath, UK, in 1991. There he worked for some time as a designer and had exhibitions of his work. Falafivka also had exhibitions in Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Germany and the USA.

The artist is very popular in Lviv, where he currently lives and works. Falafivka is renowned for his special style of painting. His basic subject is woman and many of his paintings are in the genre of Art nude. The artist has also produced many fine examples of still life, landscape painting and graphic arts.
