Culture

The third, sixth, and ninth day of the three successive ten days of a month are days for trade. On these days, the villagers will go to downtown to buy commodities. It is especially crowded at the festival days. Hakka Yong tau foo (酿豆腐) is a very popular food, but its cooking method is a bit different from the widely accepted one. The incredients of the stuffing only requires minced pork or fish. It is not to be fried all over, but only the bottom of tau foo. Some even steam it. It usually serves as the main food at the Spring Festival.
