Newfoundland, Pennsylvania
Newfoundland (pronounced "new-FOUND-lind") is a small, unincorporated community in Dreher Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania, United States.
It is most famously known as host to the Greene-Dreher-Sterling Fair every Labor Day weekend. Newfoundland is also host to an annual fireman's picnic and parade every 4th of July weekend.
Nearby is Promised Land State Park.
Geography
Newfoundland is located along the Wallenpaupack Creek, which connects with Lake Wallenpaupack to the north. It is about 25 miles (40 km) southeast of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Its zip code is 18445.
Education
Newfoundland is home to the South Elementary school of the Wallenpaupack Area School District. The South Elementary currently houses Kindergarten through 5th grade students.

Two emergency services are headquartered in Newfoundland. Newfoundland Area Ambulance Association and the Greene-Dreher Volunteer Fire Association. They provide coverage for the village and surrounding Dreher Township in addition to portions of adjoining Greene, Sterling, Palmyra, Lehigh and Coolbaugh Townships.
