Newbiggin, Teesdale

Coordinates: 54°38′35″N 2°08′06″W / 54.643°N 2.135°W / 54.643; -2.135 Newbiggin is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated on the north side of Teesdale, opposite Holwick. There was an influx of Derbyshire lead miners into the area in the late 18th century, and they may have brought the name from Biggin.
