Netru Indru (English: Yesterday Today) is an upcoming Tamil action adventure comedy film. Prasanna and Vimal, along with Richard Rishi and Bharani of Naadodigal fame, will play lead roles.^[1] To be directed by Padmamagan, a filmmaker who earlier directed Pallavan and R. Parthiban starrer Ammuvagiya Naan, the film has Veluthu Kattu girl Arundhati and Nandhagi of Aval Peyar Thamizharasi fame as the leading ladies.^[1] Says the director, "Koothu is a green journey in my life amid rocks and isolated forests with no human approach. We were in dense jungles to conduct shooting for netru indru. It is an extravaganza of nature's bounty."^[2] Rehhan scores the music for Koothu. Being produced by S. Malathy, the film was expected to hit the screens in August 2013.^[2] But the film did not release on the projected release date and will likely arrive in 2014.

Production

The film's trailer was released in August 2012 and after a period of inactivity, the title was changed in March 2013 from Koothu to Netru Indru and an audio launch function was held. Prasanna revealed that Vimal had forgone his salary for the film, as a result of the producer's financial problems.^[3]

Music is composed by Rehaan who earlier composed Vannathupoochi.
