Francesco Tarducci better known as Nesly Rice and more recently simply as Nesli (born Senigallia, Italy 29 December 1980) is an Italian singer and music producer for Teste Mobili Records. He is the younger brother of Italian rapper Fabri Fibra.
Biography
Francesco Tarducci was born in Senigallia, Italy on December 29, 1980. He was born the youngest of three siblings: Fabrizio (the well known Italian rapper Fabri Fibra), his older brother, and Federica, his older sister. As a boy he was described as shy, clumsy, and romantic as well as having an interest in tennis. During his days in secondary school, Tarducci was removed from school twice due to excessive unexcused absences. He remarked of that period as "the worst period of my life." It was also during this time that Tarducci began to take drugs with what started as marijuana habit that would finally progress into a cocaine habit. This lifestyle also led him to turn towards vandalism in his native Senigallia. In 1997, at the age of 16 years old, a life altering event would occur. Tarducci, who at the time was fascinated by guns, would go on to accidentally shoot a friend of his leaving that friend in critical condition. The friend survived his injuries but Tarducci was sentenced to six months reform school. He recounts this story in his song "Un Giorno Qualunque", from the album "Le Verità Nascoste."
1999-2002: The Beginnings
Tarducci released his first demo, Fitte Da Latte, in 1999 with the help of his brother Fabri Fibra.[1] Using the stage name Nesly Rice, and more recently simply as Nesli, Tarducci has a style similar to his brother, with a more reflective flow. As he was recording with Uomini Di Mare he did not get the opportunity to create the beats; beatmaking duties went to DJ Lato. After the production of Fitte Da Latte, Nesli worked artists in the Italian hip-hop scene such as Uomini Di Mare, Kaso & Maxi B, Marya and Mente. He collaborated with the group Sottotone, and was producer for Fish on their LP In Teoria. In 2000 he worked on the Teste Mobili mixtape Dinamite.
2003-2004: Ego, Home and Mr. Simpatia
In 2003 Nesli released his debut album, Ego. Nesli worked with Dj Myke on the album. The album uses music written and performed by musicians specifically for the album rather than music samples. The album had a mixed reception. In 2004 Nesli collaborated with Bassi Maestro on Busdeez presenta: The Remedy Tape - Vol. 1, and released his second album Home on the Saifam record label. This album features other hip hop community members such as his brother and Maxi B. Always in 2004, he co-wrote the album of Fabri Fibra: Mr. Simpatia.
2006-2008: Works with Fabri Fibra and Le Verità Nascoste
In 2006 Nesli participated in the production of his brother's third album, Tradimento. He worked on 12 of the 17 tracks and provided rap skills along with his brother on the collaboration Vaffanculo Scemo ("Fuck Off, Idiot"). The album was recorded at the Teste Mobile Records in Senigallia, Italy. Nesli's fourth solo album, Le Verità Nascoste ("The Hidden Truths") was released in March 2007. The e-single Riot was released in January 2007 online and was followed by the official music television and radio release Nesli Park. In the same year he participated on the album of Fabri Fibra, Bugiardo, and he appears also in the video of the single Bugiardo. The two brothers sang together the song Fratelli Bandiera contained in the album Le verità nascoste and Le Ragazze contained in the album Bugiardo.
2009-2012: Other projects and the big success
After splitting the contract with Universal Music, in 2009 he released Nesliving Vol.1, a mixtape which is free-downloadble on his website and also in the same year he released Fragile - Nesliving Vol.2, another album in free-download. On September 2010 Nesli released his fifth solo album, L'amore è qui (Love is here), which made his debut in the 13th position, best achievement of his entire career. The single "Capricorno" sees the featuring with the Los Angeles band Just Off Turner. In 2011 he collaborated with Danti and Mondo Marcio in the track titled Easy contained in the album of Mondo Marcio. In the same year he signed a contract with the label Carosello Records, and Tiziano Ferro cover his song La fine inserted as in his CD. On September 4, 2012 he released the sixth studio album entitled Nesliving Vol.3 - Voglio. Also in 2012 he officially participate in the Sanremo Music Festival 2013.
2013-: San Remo Music Festival
Although in 2010 the elder brother Fabri Fibra has had problems with the conductor Fabio Fazio, Nesli wants to participate in the singing competition and declared:
“ | My brother has spoken badly of Fabio Fazio on the song Qualcuno normale: It's true, he insulted him. But Fazio, may also invite me. If he doesn't do it, patience. | ” |

But in December 2012 he is excluded from the list of the 14 big participants in the Festival.
Disputes
Rivalry with Marracash
Between 2006 and 2008 Nesli was involved in a "challenge" of dissing with the rapper Marracash. In 2006, the latter in the song Popolare, attacked Nesli on his way to rap. The following year, Nesli responded to his rival in the song Riot, contained in the album Le verità nascoste, even if in the song is not explicitly mentioned the name of Marracash. The counter-response of Marracash arrived in the song Dritto al punto, included in the album Marracash in 2008, where Marracash reverse the citations of Nesli, which then responds in La vita é solo una, included in the album Nesliving Vol.1 thus ending the controversy. In an interview with the site hotmc.com, Nesli denied having ever had disagreements with Marracash.
Rivalry with his brother
In October 2010, Nesli releases an interview to the newspaper Panorama about the relation with his brother Fabri Fibra.
“ | I ended the relationship with my brother three years ago, when his life fell apart the boundary that separates the person from the character. From a certain point he didn't want to take off the mask of Fabri Fibra. I returned to the surface after being dropped by Universal Music (the Fabri Fibra's label). Fabri Fibra and his entourage tells me that I was an idiot, because I wasn't enough nasty, because I didn't do the things that needed to be done. | ” |
